BEGINNING MARCH 6TH, THE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST STUDIES WILL FEATURE AN EXHIBIT TITLED “A LEGACY OF GIFTS: 60 YEARS OF THE CENTER OF SOUTHWEST STUDIES.” THIS EXHIBIT WILL RUN THROUGH NOVEMBER.

THE OPENING RECEPTION FOR THIS EXHIBIT WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY MARCH 6TH AT 4:30 P.M. and will feature artwork, arhives and other items donated to the center over the last six decades.

The Durango Arts Center presents the second offering of the 2025 Durango Arts Repertory Theatre (DART) Season of Lovers and Sinners! Five Lesbians Eating A Quiche, Written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood, Directed by Sarah Alessandro This 1950’s period piece explores the Susan B. Anthony annual breakfast, with several twists and turns. The production runs July 18th - 27th, 2025 with evening and matinee performances. 2nd Meeting of Bug Club at the Animas Valley Grange Please join the The Animas Valley Grange ‘Bug Club’ for the second meeting on Saturday, July 19, 1-3 pm. The purpose of the club is to encourage curiosity and learning about insects and other arthropods in our local environment. We use non-lethal capture and observation techniques to study insects and other arthropods, eventually learning how to tell beneficial insects from pests and the habitats they favor. We will be using a phone app to photograph, record and identify insects. The Bug Club is free and open to all. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Meet at the Animas Valley Grange, 7271 County Road 203, about 1 mile north of Durango Hot Springs. Closed shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing are recommended.
