GIVING TUESDAY IS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 28TH. On this Giving Tuesday, KDUR News Reporter Sarah Flower hosted Fort Lewis College Director of Outreach and Donor Relations KATIE NESTER and FLC Vice President of Advancement and CEO of the Fort Lewis College Foundation MELISSA MOUNT on her program OFF THE RIM. They discussed the impacts of giving to the college, their goals for individual donations, and how the Giving Tuesday Challenge will unlock a $200,000 donation from an anonymous donor which will go towards funding Fort Lewis College's Sports Performance Center.





A new report from History Colorado details the atrocities that occurred at the Fort Lewis Indian Boarding School. KDUR’s Sarah Flower reports on the findings and how Fort Lewis College is reconciling in the wake of this news.  This information might be difficult for some to hear.





A long awaited summary of the experiences of indigenous people at the Fort Lewis Indian Board School was released by History Colorado. The document was written in agreement with the Federal Indian Boarding school research program or House Bill 22-1327 which was signed into law last May. KDUR’s Sarah Flower reports on the findings. - LISTEN TO THIS STORY HERE!



On Tuesday August 29th President Tom Stritikus sat down with Sarah Flower on the program OFF THE RIM. They welcomed back the students for the Fall Semester, and spoke about housing, the Native Boarding School, and the nursing program, among other things!
