The Smiley Building is proud to announce the opening of the Nameless Narratives art exhibit on June 7th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This captivating exhibition, curated to uplift the stories of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), will feature a diverse collection of artworks that encapsulate the rich tapestry of their experiences. The event will be from 5pm to 7pm and start with an opening prayer, followed by a warm welcome to all attendees. Artists will provide insightful comments on their pieces, offering guests a deeper understanding of the inspiration behind each creation from 5:30-6:30pm. Simultaneous American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish interpretation will be available, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all. Nameless Narratives aims to create a platform where BIPOC voices can be heard and celebrated. The exhibit seeks to shed light on the multifaceted narratives that often go unrecognized in mainstream discourse. Each artwork serves as a testament to resilience, cultural heritage, and the enduring spirit of the BIPOC community. Nameless Narratives promises to be a transformative experience, offering attendees the opportunity to engage with thought-provoking artworks while embracing the richness of BIPOC stories. Whether you're an art enthusiast, activist, or community member, this exhibit invites you to be a part of a collective journey towards greater inclusivity and social justice. Join us at the Smiley Building on June 7th to embark on a visual exploration of Nameless Narratives. Together, let us honor the past, celebrate the present, and envision a more equitable future.
