Emily Lloyd a furniture designer and Kathy Hobal a painter have been part of the Durango community for over 7 years.  This is the second year Emily and Kathy are participating in Furniture as Art.  In this piece Emily has taken a vintage chair and repurposed skirts, a blazer, a scarf, a t-shirt and second hand fabric to upholster a stylish and extremely functional chair.  Kathy felt with the recycle/green theme that a classic and simple flower would be appropriate and tasteful.  Please take the time to evaluate and identify all the different products on the chair. We feel it's an outstanding example of repurposing and reusing found items in a fresh new way.
